The purpose of this blog is simple. I am using it to post the names of these two bomber crews of the 447th Bomb Group, Rattlesden, USAAF in
hopes that sons, daughters, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and any other family member of these WWII airmen will contact me.I am a 2Gen seeking to make contact with relatives in order to identify who we are and how to maintain a low level of contact in order to exchange stories, pictures, and other information that might be of interest to each of us. These men saw combat in one of the USAAF’s most storied units, the Mighty Eighth Airforce, just before and after D-Day.
